What information do the Dutch test and the HuMap test provide?

The Dutch test and the HuMap test (read more below) provide insights into the levels and balance of female, male, and stress hormones. These tests also measure the metabolites of these hormones.
In addition to the hormones themselves, their metabolites have important effects in the body and play a crucial role in assessing hormonal status. Conventional blood tests typically do not measure hormone metabolites, and, for example, standard blood tests for estrogen only show one form. Comprehensive hormone tests conducted on urine provide a view of all three forms of estrogen and numerous significant metabolites.

The Dutch-test
The Dutch test is a comprehensive hormone test. The name "Dutch" stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. There are different types of Dutch tests, all of which are home tests conducted on urine and/or saliva, measuring important hormones, their metabolites, and other vital substances in the body.
The most popular Dutch test, Dutch Plus, measures multiple female and male hormones (including all three forms of estrogen with their metabolites, progesterone metabolites, testosterone, DHEAS, androsterone, etc.) and their metabolites, the stress hormone cortisol and its metabolites, and includes the cortisol awakening response (CAR), the metabolite of melatonin, and various other biomarkers (substances indicative of bodily functions) important for hormone balance, such as B-vitamins, neurotransmitters, neuroinflammation, gut health, and oxidative stress. A biomarker means that the test indirectly measures the specific substance; for some substances, indirect measurement is more reliable than direct measurement.
The Dutch Plus test is suitable for both females and males. Samples are collected throughout the day, from morning to evening, using saliva and urine, totaling 9 samples.
On the other hand, Dutch Cycle Mapping provides precise information about the levels of female hormones (estrogen and progesterone) throughout the entire menstrual cycle. This test is conducted using urine and is intended specifically for females, while other hormone tests can be done for both females and males.
Additionally, there is a standalone stress hormone test (Dutch Adrenal), a standalone cortisol awakening response test (Dutch CAR), a sex hormone metabolites test (Dutch Sex hormone metabolites), and a test similar to Dutch Plus but without the cortisol awakening response (Dutch Complete). These Dutch tests are suitable for both females and males.

HuMap-test
HuMap stands for Hormone and Urinary Metabolites Assessment Profile. HuMap comprehensively measures female and male hormones from urine (including all three forms of estrogen with their metabolites, progesterone with its metabolites, testosterone, DHEA, DHEAS, androsterone, etc.) and their metabolites, cortisol and its metabolites (but DOES NOT include the cortisol awakening response, CAR). HuMap also includes a biomarker for oxidative stress. A biomarker means that the test indirectly measures the specific substance; for some substances, indirect measurement is more reliable than direct measurement.
HuMap is suitable for both females and males, and it is conducted using two evening and two morning urine samples.

Dutch tests and HuMap tests are performed at home using urine and/or saliva samples. DHL will deliver the test to your desired address and pick it up once you have collected the samples. The test comes with clear instructions for both performing the test and sending it back, but I will assist you throughout the process if needed.
